I’m passionate about helping you rewrite your story and live the life you imagine.

I believe that the catalyst for change lies in acknowledging aspects of your life that may no longer serve you. This recognition, and a genuine desire for change, provide a foundation for your therapeutic journey. My role is to guide you toward not just believing, but envisioning the effectiveness of the solutions we co-create. My style as a therapist uses a direct approach while gently challenging you. I offer feedback and skills that empower you to create sustainable change while considering your own strengths, values, and unique lived experiences.

Some of my best work is done when addressing infidelity, out-of-control sexual behavior, mismatched desire, sexual trauma, consensual non-monogamy, and LGBTQIA+ relationships. I understand the unique challenges that men experience in seeking support for sexual and mental health and strive to offer a space that breaks down the shame and stigma they may experience due to cultural and societal messaging. As a gay man, I am especially passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+ community.

In my practice, I use Narrative Therapy, emphasizing the importance of sharing each individual’s stories. Understanding what happened, why it happened, and exploring ways to align future actions with personal values are crucial for growth. Emotionally Focused Therapy plays a significant role in this process, as emotions are integral to our experiences, yet often de-emphasized in our society.

Outside of the therapy room, I am someone who loves creative expression, seeks adventure, and constantly explores new experiences. Creativity is my tool to provide a unique perspective that you may not have considered before. I believe you are the expert on your own stories, and together we’ll work to better understand how they have influenced who you are today and rewrite what comes next.

I earned my Master’s in Couple and Family Therapy from Adler University in Chicago where I also completed specialized coursework and training to earn a Certificate in Sex Therapy. I previously earned my Bachelor’s in Professional Aviation from Minnesota State University. After recognizing that my passion for flying was better suited as a hobby than a career, I decided to return to school. Being a therapist is a natural fit, aligning well with my curiosity to learn from those who are different from me and connect with them on a deeper level.
